Official blazon

Halb gespalten und geteilt von Gold, Silber und Blau; vorn oben in Gold ein rotbewehrter und bezungter schwarzer Löwe, hinten in Silber ein durchgehendes schwarzes Balkenkreuz; unten in Blau sechs (3:2:1) silberne Seeblätter.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 12, 1974.

The lower part of the new arms is taken from the old arms of Nettersheim (see below). The upper part shows the lion of Jülich and the cross of Köln, both the Dukes of Jülich and the Archbishops of Köln held part of the area.
