Origin/meaning

The divi-divi tree is characteristic of the Island of Curaçao, where Suffisant is located. By the north-east trade wind it is force to grow in just one direction. The tree can withstand exceptionall heavy storms and is therefore an approriate symbol ofthe Marine Unit that bears this badge. Approved 17 June 1971.
