The arms are based on the only known seal of the village, known from 1763. The crosier and the spears are the symbols of St. Adalbert of Prague (Vojtech in Slovak), the grapes are a symbol for the main crop of the region in the 18th century. Although the church nowadyas has St. Mary as a patron saint, it was probably St. Adalbert in the 18th century.

Official blazon

  • (sk) V modrom štíte kolmo postavená zlatá berla, prekrížená dvoma zlatými, striebrohrotými a striebroperími šípmi, po bokoch dve zelené ratolesti viniča, na každej po jednom striebornom strapci hrozna.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 25, 1996.

The current arms can also be used with the saint behind the shield as a supporter.
