Escudo de verde, duas armações de moinho de negro, vestida e cordoadas de prata, entre uma rosa heráldica de ouro, apontada do mesmo e botoada de azul, em chefe e um cacho de uvas de púrpura, folhado de ouro, em ponta. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ MOITA DOS FERREIROS “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 12, 2000.
The arms show two windmill blades for the formerly very important windmills in the area. The rose is the symbol of Saint Mary, the local patron saint. The grapes indicate the importance of viticulture in the parish.
