MARKI
Province: Mazowsze
County: Wołomin
Polish | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on March 3, 1998.
The arms show a city wall, even though the town never had walls. They symbolise the many brick factories in the town. The caduceus refers to trade. The chief shows a royal crown, as the city was a royal possession in the 16th to 18th century.
The arms replaced arms from 1968, which showed the town's in itial and a cogwheel as a symbol for industry.
