Official blazon
Van lazuurmet een hoorn van overvloed paalsgewijs geplaatst de staart omhoog, vergezeld in het schildhoofd van een ster met zes stralen en rechts van een gaanden leeuw naar links gewend, de linkerpoot op den hoorn rustend en links van een gaanden hond, de rechterpoot eveneens op den hoorn rustend, het geheel van goud, hetgeen Kerkem is, het schild geplaatst voor eenen heiligen Eligius rechts eenen gekroonden hame en lins een bisschopsstaf houdend, het geheel van goud.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 8, 1930.
The arms combine the arms of Kerkem, with the St. Eligius, the patron saint from the arms of Maarke.
