The arms show St. Mauritius on a horse, a symbol which has been used on the banners of the Lugnez district since the early 16<sup>th</sup> century. On the old banners also an image of the St. Mary and the arms of Bishop Heinrich V of Hewen (1491-1505) appear. These are not added in the arms.
