Gevierendeeld: 1 en 4 in goud een gaand everzwijn van sabel; 2 en 3 in sabel drie kepers van zilvet (van de Werve). Het schild getopt met een kroon met negen parels. Schildhouders: rechts een wildeman, omgord en omkranst met loof, houdende in de vrije hand een knots over de schouder, en links een wildevrouw, omgord en omkranst met loof, met een lange stok in de vrije hand, alles op een grasgrond en van natuurlijke kleur,
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 22, 1970
The arms are those of the Van der Werve family, Lords (since 1768 Barons) of Lichtaart since 1734 until the end of the 18th century. The arms are seen on the seals of the village from 1778 and 1790.
