Leutesdorf received city rights from the Archbishop of Trier in 1332. The oldest known seal of the city dates from the 15<sup>th</sup> century and already shows St. Lawrence, the patron saint of the city. Even though the colours have changed during the centuries, the arms itself never changed.

Origin/meaning
