LENGEFELD

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Unstrut-Hainich Kreis
Incorporated into : 1997 Anrode

Wappen von Lengefeld (Anrode)/Arms (crest) of Lengefeld (Anrode)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 20, 1994.

The tower shows the local watchtower (Lengefelder Warte), which was one of the watchtowers of the lines to protect the city of Mühlhausen and its neighbouring villages. The oak leaves represent the forests in the municipality. The wavy division line symbolises the Luhne river. The three diamonds in the chief are a canting element, three long 'fields'.
