Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 26, 1978.

The new town was created from the two municipalities Nenningen and Weissenstein. The arms also combine elements from the arms of the former municipalities. The red lion and canting white stone are derived from the arms of Weissenstein. The wing is taken from the arms of Nenningen.
