Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on January 22, 1962.
The charges refer to the mighty (and also very picturesque) castle of Strechau, which lies in the territory of Lassing, and to the holy Apostle James the Elder (Jacobus Maior), patron saint of Lassing.
