LANGENORLA
State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Saale-Orla Kreis (until 1994 Pössneck )
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 12, 1993.
The eagle with wolf's head was the main symbol in the arms of the medieval Lords of Orla, who founded the village. The three red points symbolise the three villages in the municipality and are derived from the arms of the Lords of Boes, who lived in the village. The lower part shows a wavy bend for the Orla river and the many other small streams in the municipality.
