Official blazon

In Gold ein roter Göpel, begleitet rechts von einem dreiblättrigen blauen Eichenzweig, links von einem blauen Kleeblatt, unten von drei durchgehenden blauen Wellenfäden.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 14, 1966.

The oak leaf is a canting symbol, as -lund is Danish for a forest. The oak is the most common type of tree in the region. The trefoil symbolises the importance of agriculture for the village. The lower half symbolises the three small lakes in the village, which are the result of marl mining in the area. These are now of importance for tourism and recreation. The red lines symbolise a farmhouse, whereas the golden field symbolises the rich farming lands. The colours are also those of the Nordfriesland district.
