Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 14, 1989.

The arms show in the right half the canting goat (cabra) on a green field for the rich forests and pastures in the municipality. The left half shows the arms of the Lords of Buitrago y su Tierra, who owned the La Cabrera estate.
