Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1986.
The deer is taken from the arms of the Boucherie family, the other half is derived from the arms of the Chevigne family. The two families were both Lords of the manor of L'Herbergement. The latter family acquired the estate through marriage in the 16th century and ruled until the French Revolution.
