KUŽIAI
County : Šiauliai
Municipality : Šiauliai
Lithuanian | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 1, 2001.
The charge is canting: "kuzis" (pl. "kuziai") is one of synonyms for "horse" in Lithuanian; this is also the folk etymology of the town name. The sinister bend refers to the location of the town on the left bank of Ringuva river.
