The arms were officially granted on August 10, 1998.
The arms show a canting Queen (kráľovná), which is taken from the oldest known seal of the village, dating from 1733. The seal probably does show Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia, a princess of Hungary, and not a queen. In the current arms she is described as an unnamed queen.
