Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 22, 1977.

The arms of the old municipalities could not be combined, so new arms were devised. The cross is the cross of Köln, as the area was part of the State of Köln. The left part of the arms show the arms of the Millendonk-Mirlaer family, who were an important family in Korschenbroich. These were taken from the old arms, see below.

The previous arms were granted on September 27, 1950.

The upper part shows the local patron saint, St. Andreas (Andrew), with the cross and a book. The arms are based on the old seal of the village, which showed the arms of the Millendonk family and St. Andrew as a supporter.
