Hopeisessa kentässä pystyssä karhu olallaan uittohaka, kaikki mustaa, paitsi karhun varukset ja uittohaan varsi punaiset.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 27, 1953.

The bear in the arms is a canting element, the name means bear-bay. The hook is a tool used to move floating trees on the lake and rivers, and is thus used as a symbol for forestry.
