District: Bor

Arms of Kladovo

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The two black gates signify the Djerdap dam built in 1958 in co-operation with Romania and was the third largest hydroelectric power station at the time. The waves signify the river Danube and the green landscape signifies the Carpatian mountains and the surrounding valleys.

The previous arms of Kladovo had the same basic design:

The red star means that this was designed after the second world war when the Communists were on power.
