Official blazon

Origin/meaning

Kikinda was founded in the late 18th century when Serbs from Tisa/Morish area of the Austrian-Hungarian border settled in the area to protect the border from Turks. The coat of arms represents an arm of a Serbian warrior with a head of Turkish warrior on the sabre.

The heart beneath represents bravery and patriotism of the Serbian warriors.
