  • (1931) In Silber ein blauer Pfahl, darüber ringförming eine oben gesprengte schwarze Kette.
  • (1956 proposal) In damasziertem Silber ein blauer Balken belegt mit einer schwarzen Kette.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 19, 1931.

The arms are derived from the arms of the 1662 extincted Lords of Kettenheim, who showed a pale sable on their shield. May be that the pale azure symbolises the later rulership of the Wittelsbach family. The chain (German = Kette) is canting for the name of the municipality.
