Wappen von Karsdorf/Arms (crest) of Karsdorf
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 1, 2010.

The two hooks are canting, a Karst in this case is a type of hook used in viticulture. The hooks have no relation to the meaning of the name though. The hooks were already used on the historical seals of the village, see below, which also shows St. Lawrence in the crest. St. Lawrence is the local patron saint.

The grapes indicate the viticulture, the base shows the Unstrut river.
