Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted by the municipality in 1980.

The arms are based on the arms of the two families that owned the Joudreville estate. The sail is taken from the arms of Jacob de Noncourt de Joudreville, whose family owned the estae from the early 17th century until 1740.The fleur-de-lis and the two stars are taken from the arms of the De la Hausse family, which owned some parts in the present municipality in the 17th and 18th century.
