The arms were granted on November 13, 1995.

The castle of Jorba (shown duplicated in the arms) has been the centre of a barony since the 12<sup>th</sup> century, and because of that there is a baron's crown at the top of the arms. The silver comet on red are the canting arms of the Rajadell family, the barons of Jorba in the 15<sup>th</sup> century (the name Rajadell is derived from "raig", Catalan for ray).
