The arms were granted on June 9, 1994.

The wavy bend in the arms symbolises the Jütze stream (stream=Bach). The mitre is a symbol for the nearby Gerode Abbey, which played a major role in the local history. The last two abbots of the abbey originated from Jützenbach.

The wheel in the lower corner is the wheel of the [[Mainz (State)|State of Mainz]], as the area historically belonged to Mainz for many centuries.
