Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 9, 1994.

The wavy bend in the arms symbolises the Jütze stream (stream=Bach). The mitre is a symbol for the nearby Gerode Abbey, which played a major role in the local history. The last two abbots of the abbey originated from Jützenbach. The wheel in the lower corner is the wheel of the State of Mainz, as the area historically belonged to Mainz for many centuries.
