HORSCHBACH
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Kusel
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Altenglan
Official blazon
In Schwarz ein rotgekrönter und bewehrter goldener Löwe, überdeckt von einem silbernen schräg linken Wellenbalken.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 18, 1975 (above right).
The arms show the lion of the Pfalz with a wavy bend as a canting element (Bach is stream, brook). Previously the village used a tulip in the arms (above left), taken from an 18th century seal. The arms with the tulip were not officially granted.
