HORRHEIM
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Ludwigsburg (until 1973 Vaihingen)
Incorporated into : 1972 Vaihingen an der Enz
Official blazon
In Silber oben eine liegende schwarze Hirschstange, an der ein mit dem Mundstück linksgewendetes rotes Hifthorn mit goldenem Beschlag an roter Fessel hängt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1957, but are based on the oldest seal of the city, known since 1460. The arms show the deer antler of <a href=wurtembe|Württemberg]], to which Horrheim belonged since 1356. The horn is canting (Horn-heim), or is taken from the crest of the Counts of Württemberg. The colours of the arms are known since 1595 and the arms have not changed since.
