Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 1, 1992.

The star and the bends are derived from the arms of the Lord Konrad Schütz von Holzhausen, from the 16th century. The two grape leaves are a symbol for the viticulture in the area, which was of great importance until the late 19th century.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
