Amt : Amt Hüsten
Incorporated into : 1975 Arnsberg

Wappen von Holzen (Arnsberg)/Arms (crest) of Holzen (Arnsberg)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 11, 1962.

The key and palm leaf are symbols for the former Oelinghausen monastery in the village, its church of St. Peter (key) now functions as parish church. The palm is the symbol of the co-patron, St. John. The colours are those of the Counts of Arnsberg, who historically ruled the area.
