The right hhalf of the arms show a mountain and a cross. The mountain is taken from th eold arms o fthe Counts von Falkenstein, who were mentioned as the first Lords of Hittenkirchen in 1160. The cross refers to the -Kirchn (church) part of the name. The thicker horizolntal bar of the cross makes it look like an H, the town's initial. | |||
