Heraldic postcards from the United Kingdom

Heraldic postcards from the United Kingdom, including Ireland for pre 1918 cards.

Heraldic postcards were a popular topic at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. There have been many larger and smaller series with heraldic designs, often very similar, and also often without clear markings or series information. Below the series and cards that I know of are listed.

Large series (>50 cards)

Ja-Ja Heraldic Series
Probably the largest heraldic postcard series known, with over 650 cards. Issued by JaJa tobacco before 1914.

Medium series (10-50 cards)

House of Lords (Tuck) Coats of arms of the members of the House of Lords
Issued by Tuck postcards, pre 1914.

Small series (<10 cards)

Arms of Schools
A small series of cards with the arms of schools, issued by RPCC. The company also issued another larger series (see above), and some cards with the arms of Cambridge University Colleges. The series can be seen here with filename rpcc-XXX.
