Selected collector's items from Germany:

HEMSBACH

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rhein-Neckar Kreis (until 1973 Mannheim)

Wappen von Hemsbach (Rhein-Neckar Kreis)/Arms of Hemsbach (Rhein-Neckar Kreis)
Official blazon
German

In Silber ein schwarzes Joch (Lenkscheit), begleitet oben und unten von je einer roten Rose mit grünen Kelchblättern.

English (Rhein-Neckar Kreis) No blazon/translation known. Please click here to send your (heraldic !) blazon or translation

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1910, but are based on the oldest seal of the village, known since 1490. The arms show a yoke and two roses. The yoke probably is a symbol for agriculture, the roses may be a symbol of justice, but their origin is not quite clear. The colours were finally determined in 1910 as no historical colours were known.

Siegel von Hemsbach (Rhein-Neckar Kreis)

The municipal stamp shown in 1892
