HEIMERTINGEN

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Unterallgäu

Wappen von Heimertingen
Official blazon
German

In Gold eine eingeschweifte rote Spitze, darin ein silberner Halbmond, begleitet von je einer blauen Lilie.

Origin/meaning

The arms are granted on July 20, 1966.

The arms are a combination of elements of two families that played a mayor role in the local histiry. The two blue fleur-de-lis are taken from the arms of the Fugger family, who acquored several possessions in the municipality in 1589. Before the Fuggers the village was ruled for a long time by the Edlinstett family, from whose arms the silver crescent is taken.
