Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on December 9, 1988.

Heiderscheid belonged until the late 18th century to the Lordship of Esch-sur-Sûre. To distinguish the arms of Heiderscheid from Esch-sur-Sûre a symbol for the many woods and wildlife in the municipality was added, a boar.
