Official blazon

In Grün ein silberner, mit einem goldenen Helm, der über einer rot-silbernen Wulst mit sieben sil­bern und rot geteilten Fähnchen besteckt ist, bedeckter Löwe, der eine goldene Rodehacke in den Pranken hält.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 13, 1995.

The lion with th ehelmet is taken from the arms of the Lords von Bült­zingslöwen, who played a major role in the history of the village. The spade is a symbol for the -rode part of the name, which is derived from roden, or clearing forest.
