HART-PURGSTALL
(until 2003 Purgstall bei Eggersdorf)

State : Steiermark
District : Graz-Umgebung
Incorporated into: 2015 Eggersdorf bei Graz

Wappen von Hart-Purgstall/Arms (crest) of Hart-Purgstall
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 1, 1992.

The arms were based on the coat of arms of the monastery of Seckau. The line of partition is embattled, because a Burgstall is a small fortified manor (which has nowadays disappeared). The branch of thorns and the rose hint at the castle of Dornhofen (Dorn=thorn).
