HARGELSBERG

State : Oberösterreich
District : Linz-Land

Wappen von Hargelsberg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 18, 1983.

The colours are the colours of the St. Florian Abbey to which the village belonged. The cross is the symbol of St. Andrew, the patron saint of the village. The hatchet symbolises the stone age findings in Hargelsberg. The green stands for the prevailing agriculture.

The S-shaped bend symbolises the mountain range Höhenrücken, which runs from north to south (Franzberg, Hargelsberg, Angersberg) through the municipality.
