Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 25, 1954.

The arms are identical to the arms of the last Lords of Halle, the Uilens family. The Uilens family acquired the estate in 1720. The arms are a combination of the old Uilens arms (the eagle in the first and fourth quarter), combined with the arms of the Verbiest family.
