HAINSTADT

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Odenwaldkreis (until 1972 Erbach)
Incorporated into: 1971 Breuberg

Wappen von Hainstadt (Breuberg)/Arms (crest) of Hainstadt (Breuberg)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1949.

The arms show a star for the Counts of Erbach and a rose for the arms of the Counts of Löwenstein, as the village historically belonged to these families. The hedge in the bend symbolises the old name of the village Hain-Hagen (Hage, Gehege is a fence).
