Selected collector's items from Germany:

HAHN

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Darmstadt-Dieburg (until 1975 Darmstadt)
Incorporated into : 1972 Pfungstadt

Wappen von Hahn (Pfungstadt)/Arms of Hahn (Pfungstadt)
Official blazon
German

In Gold ein auf einem Bogen stehendes breitendiges rotes Kreuz.

English (Pfungstadt) No blazon/translation known. Please click here to send your (heraldic !) blazon or translation

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the local seal, known since 1623, which may have been based on older seals. The symbol is a so-called village symbol, but themeaning or origin is not known.

The colours are those of the Lords von Frankenstein, who acquired the manor of Hahn in 1484 and used a red wolf-iron on a golden field.
