Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 30, 1938.

The arms show three wheat-ears, as a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality. The colours and the red chevron are derived from the arms of the Ravensberg County, to which the area historically belonged.

Literature : Meyer, 1940.
