Official blazon
Gespalten von Rot und Silber; vorne ein wachsender silberner Kirchturm, hinten über einem grünen Sporn ein grünes Eichenblatt mit goldener Eichel.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 21, 1970.
The right half of the arms shows the local church of St. Martin with its typical tower. The colours, red and silver, are taken from the arms of the State of Mainz, to which the village historically belonged. Hösbach was the seat of a forester appointed by the archbishops of Mainz since the 14th century. This fact is symbolised in the left half of the arms, whocing a oak branch and a spur, as the forester mainly travelled by horse in his district.
