HÉRON
Province : Liège
Additions: 1977 Couthuin, Lavoir, Warêt-l'Evêque
Official blazon
Ecartelé au 1 de gueules, aux 2 et 3 d'argent, au 4 d'azur chargé d'un pic de mineur et d'une faux d'or passés en sautoir.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 15, 2003.
The arms are quartered to symbolise the four former municipalities that merged in 1977. They are based on the arms of the former Moha county, to which the area historically belonged. The arms of Moha showed a red free canton in silver. The fourth quarter was added and symbolises the importance of agriculture and mining in the municipality.
