Official blazon

Origin/meaning

In a green field resides a widened gold patriarcal cross and represent San José saint patron of Gurabo. This cross was on Seal of Gurabo in the 19 century. The little shields, the right one represent, by a fleur de lis, the founder of Gurabo Don Luis del Carmen Echevarría and the left one represent where the founder was born, Zafra in Extremadura, Spain, with three lilies in a natural way. The green colour represents Gurabo. The mural crown with 3 towers represents that Gurabo is a town.
