GUNSKIRCHEN
State : Oberösterreich
District : Wels-Land
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 14, 1969.
The plough in the arms is taken from the arms of the locally important Pflügl family, but can also be seen as a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality. The cogwheels symbolise the industry in the area.
Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
