Gevierendeeld, 1 en 4 van zilver met drie klissen van sinopel (wat is Clichthove) 2 en 3 van zilver met drie molenijzers van keel (wat is Hocquingem), over alles heen van goud met een aanzienden hertekop van keel (wat is Cerf).

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 19, 1934.

The first and fourth quarter of the arms show the arms of the Clichthove family, Lords of Gullegem in the 18^th century. The second and third quarter show the arms of the Hocquingen family, an important local family. The escutcheon shows the canting (in French, cerf=deer) arms of the Cerf family, an important local family in the 16th century.
