The colors red and silver are the colors of the Franken regions, the unicorn is taken from the arms of the family Waldenfels that had a silver unicorn on blue ground and owned this village in medieval times, the small and big pine trees are leading to the name Groß- and Klein Vichtach ( Fichte means pinetree), as Groß and Kleinvichtach are parts of the town Marktrodach, the ammonite is symbolizing the village is on limestoneground where a lot of fossils are found (mostly ammonites).
